William Bunge and the Detroit Geographical Expedition and Institute

William Bunge was a "radical geographer" (whatever that is) who founded a group in the late 1960s called the Detroit Geographical Expedition and Institute, which was apparently influential within the discipline This paper offers a retrospective on the group, and this blog post gives more background on Bunge himself. Could be a red herring, but it's the first lead of this kind I've found re: psychogeography and the city, and there seems to be enough hero worship to be interesting.
